The 4.0L V8 engine of the 2008-2012 E9X BMW M3 is a boss for the M car in the last 20 years. It has the torque we dreamed of that earlier models did not have. Thus making driving the M3 truly a blast. Having owned a 2008 E90 BMW M3 and doing our tuning R&D on a 2011 E92 M3, we know first hand the pros and cons of this engine. With a simple ECU flash, the V8 becomes a monster in the entire RPM band. There is no 1 single point that does not gain performance and power. Quicker throttle response, increased torque making the wheels spin, and top end that pulls uber hard.
Crank Horsepower Ratings:
- Stock Power 420HP and 295ft/lbs
