VR Tuned ECU Flash Tune Porsche 996 GT2 K24 Turbos 02-05

Imagine an extra 40hp and 50ft/lbs of torque just from flashing your ECU. Now imagine the already lightweight, nimble, and rear wheel drive 996 GT2 with this extra power. We are talking pure fun and amusement. With the ability to reach double its stock horsepower and over 200mph on the stock engine, speed junkies are all over the 996 Turbo platform. The K24 turbos found on the GT2 have huge potential even though they are making 50 horsepower more than the K16 turbos. The K24 turbos build about .8 - .9 bar of boost. Once flashed, these Porsche cars hold about 1.1-1.2bar of boost. Because the K24 turbo is larger, it is moving more air already so the gain is not as large, but still an impressive increase compared to stock. With an aftermarket exhaust system, you may see boost spikes to 1.3bar which is completely safe. The 996 Turbo engines in good health can run 1.5-1.6bar on 100octane. With the increased boost and horsepower, we highly recommend changing your spark plugs to a 1 step colder plugs such as the Denso IK22 or the NGK BKR7EIx. Stock plugs with over 5000 miles will typically cause the car to misfire at peak torque around 4000rpm.

How to Flash Your ECU?

• Use the VRTuned iFlash OBDII device. This REQUIRES a Windows PC.  You can flash between the stock and tuned at anytime. See Instructions Here.
• Use the Alientech Powergate 3+ handheld device. This device is a touchscreen module that lets you store your original and tuned files to easily flash between them. See Instructions Here.
• Bring your vehicle to our facility where we can use our Master Tool to flash your vehicle via the OBDII port.
